We’re proud to feature The Winston School San Antonio as this month’s cover story in our back-to-school issue! This year the school marks 40 years of teaching students with learning differences in a way that meets them where they are. We also spotlight Winston teacher Kristal Kelley, recently honored with the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching.

I want to invite all of my Helotes Neighbors to the city council meeting tonight. They are going to honor the Historical Society of Helotes as it is our 60th Anniversary. Keeping the history alive is very important. Come and find out how you can get involved or support the Historical Society of Helotes. We're proud to share this month’s cover story on K9s For Warriors and its Warrior Ranch right here in Helotes — a place where military Veterans arrive carrying invisible wounds and leave three weeks later with a highly trained Service Dog and renewed hope. It's a powerful mission happening in our own backyard, and one worth knowing.

We’re excited to feature the Miss Helotes Scholarship Pageant winners on our June cover! The pageant is one of the most enduring and beloved community traditions in Helotes and this year crowned its 60th court, capping an anniversary milestone that few local institutions can claim.
