Skelton Court Hearing Delayed As Attorney Reviews Evidence

The father of three young boys who went missing from Morenci 15 years ago appeared in Court on Monday. 53-year-old John Skelton was scheduled for a probable cause hearing in Lenawee County District Court on three counts each of Open Murder and Tampering with evidence. Area Food Banks Working To Combat Food Insecurity

Local food banks are scrambling to meet community needs in the wake of federal cuts and rising food prices. In a recent interview, Pastor Kara Shaw of Trinity Lutheran Church told WCSR News that the church’s food pantry, King’s Kupboard, is seeing increased need this year. State Releases Car-Deer Crash Numbers

State officials have released the latest car-deer crash statistics for Michigan. Reports from the Michigan State Police showed there were 58,324 vehicle-deer crashes across the state in 2024. Those accidents resulted in 1,816 injuries and 14 fatalities. Seven of the people killed were riding motorcycles. The data shows that fall is the most dangerous time of year for collisions. Nearly 43% of all car-deer crashes occurred between October and December, during the deer mating season....
