So proud of these fellers! Cody Lee Meece and Joe Clark Music
2,000 miles of road, 8 cities, 10 days. 4,000 miles from home. England, Scotland, Wales, Accents, airplanes, architecture, Kebabs and curry, guitars and songwriters, coffee, country music and heavy metal, opposite roads, stonewalls, coffee, laughter, confusion & exhaustion. Coffee. There is no way to sum it all up.
I never imagined as a young musician that I would make it out of Kentucky, let alone tour internationally. The UK was an adventure of a lifetime. We poured our hearts out in our songs in every venue, and gave the folks in the UK the best version of our Appalachian sound that we have to give. I can say with confidence that we made a solid statement for the great state of Kentucky. I hope and pray that our songs and stories made a difference, and that the people we came in contact with throughout this tour took something positive away from it.
For the Love of Appalachia has helped change my life… Lance Rogers, Kat Deeds, Georgia Mae & Adam, TJ & Ronnie with The Rugged Revival, Susannah Clegg, Scott Ashworth, Paul Armour, Southern Roots, have all made an incredibly positive impact on my life and for that I am forever grateful. For the Love of Appalachia is a perfect example of how to make a difference for independent artists. To every person that filled a seat and gave us their ear, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Most importantly, I barely knew Cody Lee Meece before this trip, and I have made a lifelong friend out of this tour. I couldn’t have asked for a better musician to be partnered with. Cody is one of a kind. Make sure to follow his music. We did it brother. ✊🏻
Until next time UK… and there will for sure be a next time. Be good to one another.
