RADIN Health and AZmed announced an expansion of their strategic partnership following a new FDA clearance for the Rayvolve AI Suite’s AZtrauma module.

According to the companies, the expanded clearance broadens the module’s capabilities beyond fracture detection to include detection of joint effusions and dislocations on X-rays in adult and pediatric patients ages 2 and older.

The expanded FDA clearance for AZtrauma adds detection of joint effusions and dislocations and broadens the scope of its X-ray AI suite.

What does it take to turn a promising PSMA imaging compound into something that can actually work at scale?

In a new feature, Robert Dannals, PhD, and Martin Pomper, MD, PhD, discuss the chemistry, radiopharmacy challenges, and persistence behind DCFPyL—the compound that later became PYLARIFY, the first commercially available PSMA PET imaging agent.

The two researchers were recently named among the Bayh-Dole Coalition’s 2026 Faces of American Innovation.

An AI algorithm for pulmonary embolism detection demonstrated high concordance with radiologist interpretations in a large, real-world study published in Radiology: Artificial Intelligence.

“AI-informed radiologists achieved a sensitivity of 99.2% for pulmonary embolism detection. Radiologist-AI agreement was highest for acute and central emboli—the cases associated with the greatest clinical urgency and mortality risk. This suggests the algorithm is most reliable in precisely the clinical scenarios where triage has the greatest potential to impact patient outcomes,” says Shlomit Goldberg-Stein, MD, FACR, professor of radiology and director of AI at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
