As theranostics expands, SPECT/CT systems are being developed to accommodate a broader range of tracers and therapies. GE HealthCare has submitted its StarGuide GX 4D SPECT/CT system for FDA 510(k) clearance, following a recent CE Mark in Europe.

The dual-sided CZT system is designed to image across a range of energy levels, including investigational alpha-emitting isotopes such as actinium-225 and lead-212. It also features automated collimator exchanges in under three seconds and is designed to support quantitative imaging for dosimetry, therapy planning, and treatment monitoring.

Scan.com has secured $220 million in new financing as it looks to expand its diagnostic imaging network across the US.

The company is building infrastructure that connects imaging centers with health plans, employers, and digital health companies, while automating referral routing, scheduling, and report delivery. The funding includes $90 million in equity and $130 million in debt facilities and comes after Scan.com says it doubled revenue over the past year to more than a $165 million annualized run rate.
