There are some stories you cover... and then there are stories you get to experience.
My two newest Local Vibe Magazine articles take you inside Rose Graham Quilting Retreat in Broken Arrow, Oklahomaāa place that's so much more than a house filled with sewing machines. It's where creativity slows you down, friendships are stitched together, and memories are made one quilt block at a time.
The first article shares the inspiring story behind the retreat and how Agnes "Sissy" McGee transformed a former family home into a destination that's welcoming quilters and crafters from all over.
The second is a little more personal. I share my own experience spending time there with our quilting group, Granny's Squares, and why I may have caught the quilting bug myself. (I've heard it's pretty contagious!)
Click the links below, take a few minutes to read them, and let me know... have you ever been on a quilting retreat, or is it something you'd love to try?
