šŸ“¬ LVM Weekly has officially hit your inbox!

This week, we're asking a question that's a little bigger than business:

What will be different because you were here?

We're talking about impact, purpose, the legacy we're creating right now—and why figuring out what you want to contribute might need to come before figuring out what you want to build.

And this is only the beginning.

This week's LVM Weekly kicks off a 3-part series:

✨ Part 1: Leaving Your Legacy — What kind of impact do you want to have?
šŸ› ļø Part 2: Work With What You've Got — You may already have more than you think.
šŸ‘€ Part 3: What's Really Holding You Back? — And this one might get a little uncomfortable.

Part One is waiting in subscribers' inboxes now.

Not on the list yet? You're missing the conversations we're having every Thursday about business, community, growth—and creating the things we wish existed right here at home.

There are some stories you cover... and then there are stories you get to experience.

My two newest Local Vibe Magazine articles take you inside Rose Graham Quilting Retreat in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma—a place that's so much more than a house filled with sewing machines. It's where creativity slows you down, friendships are stitched together, and memories are made one quilt block at a time.

The first article shares the inspiring story behind the retreat and how Agnes "Sissy" McGee transformed a former family home into a destination that's welcoming quilters and crafters from all over.

The second is a little more personal. I share my own experience spending time there with our quilting group, Granny's Squares, and why I may have caught the quilting bug myself. (I've heard it's pretty contagious!)

Click the links below, take a few minutes to read them, and let me know... have you ever been on a quilting retreat, or is it something you'd love to try?

🧵 **The story behind Rose Graham Quilting Retreat**—how an ordinary home became a destination for quilters and crafters from across the country.

🪔 **My personal experience at the retreat**—what I discovered, what surprised me most, and why I think quilting is making an incredible comeback.

Whether you've been quilting for decades, have never threaded a needle, or you're simply inspired by people who turn a dream into a successful business, I think you'll enjoy these.

Happy reading!

Have you heard the one about the dirty-water hot dog that walked into a four-star restaurant in New York City?

Neither had I. Spoiler...the hot dog doesn't actually walk.

Turns out it's one of the best business lessons I've ever learned.

And no...it's not really about the hot dog.

This week’s LVM Weekly sponsor is Reed Knives — handcrafted by local craftsman Scott Reed.

In a world full of mass-produced products, there’s something different about holding something made by hand.

Something built with skill.
Patience.
Precision.
Pride.

Every Reed Knife is carefully crafted with attention to detail that simply can’t be replicated on an assembly line. From the balance and finish to the materials and design, these knives are made to last — not just for years, but for generations.

These aren’t novelty pieces.
They’re functional craftsmanship.
The kind of quality you immediately notice the moment it’s in your hand.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect gift, adding to a collection, or investing in something truly unique, Reed Knives delivers craftsmanship that stands out.

And honestly… this is the kind of gift people remember.

Most businesses fail because they focus too much on WHAT they’re selling…

…and not enough on what people are actually BUYING.

This week’s LVM Weekly is one of the most honest conversations I’ve had yet about:
• small-town business
• why some businesses survive
• why others don’t
• and the moment I realized I wasn’t selling haircuts…

I was selling transformation, confidence, relaxation, experience, and connection.

If you own a business, dream of starting one, or wonder why some people ā€œmake itā€ while others quietly disappear…
you’re going to want to read this one.
