We’re all too eager to brag on Matt Odom, both for what he captures through his lens and for what he represents. His style is impeccable, and others have noticed, besides regular stints in Macon Magazine and Georgia Trend, he’s stretched his wings in assignments for National Geographic, The New York Times, and the Equal Justice Initiative, among many others. But this Macon native and Mercer grad hasn’t forgotten Unionville, and he’s still capturing friends and neighbors as much as celebrities and politicians. Recently selected for the nationally juried American Photography 42 hardcover book, Odom told us why he’s still part of the “hometown team.”
