Been a while sense I posted anything, just been too hot to work in garage.. weather is breaking now and has cooled off..
So I started this kit.. it was a pain long time ago when it was new, and still is. The suspension Dosnt line up with the holes in the frame.. and the frame has very little alignment pins..
I removed said pins from floor pan (on 2)
I filled every hole is the frame with same size rod styrene. Removed pins from suspension. Drilled out from axle,(this will plastic one is very weak not broke many time when I built it the first time)
It’s a 1/16 brass rod now..
next is fitting motor as the frame is not in original location.

Worked on the jaguar more yesterday. Almost done with the interior except for the seats. Go a few options and haven’t decided on them just yet. Spent most of the day working on the doors and rear door, rear bonnet, trunk lid…what ever you want to call it.
I have put in so much work on this project, to make is as nice as possible and get rid of some Of the bad problems with this jaguar that the manufacturer was smoking crack when the design it!!
The rear door.. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ they were high when they designed this part.. SCREWS.. holding trim panel and glass.. LOOKS LIKE CRAP! Back when I painted this I had intended to make this look better.
The trim panel had some styrene solid rod used in the back side of each screw boss. With liquid weld cement. After a drying over night they were all cut flush on both sides. Then sanded smooth and painted with the SEM interior paint buckskin beige.
Now that look a 100 times better. The first picture is what it was before. Now comes the 64,000 dollar question? How do you hold the glass and trim and trim panel to door?
Well that’s is done with 10mm wide cell phone screen tape! And the 2mm wide for the glass and chrome moulding. The trim panel will be held the same way.
Looks very nice this way.
I’ve used this tape to attach all kids of parts.
