NOTICE
The City of Dresden Planning Commission will meet in special session on Friday, January 9th at 3:00 pm at Dresden City Hall. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss a subdivision plat on Thomas & Clifton Streets and a rezoning request for 9921 Hwy 22.
This meeting is open to the public.

JUST IN: During the informal Martin board meeting members heard a presentation from UT Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) consultant Dana Deem on the benefits of a City Manager. Deem also volunteered to assist the board in the process if they choose to move forward.
Members heard reports from all department heads. Mayor David Belote told the board the CE Weldon building is in bad shape. But he is actively taking bids on the cost to fix the historic building and hopes to find a beneficial use for the space. Finally, the members moved grant decisions to the formal meeting. The projects under consideration to cut will not have a negative impact on the city outside of what has already been paid. Each project can be picked up later once the city’s finances are moving per the Tennessee Comptrollers recommendations.
