Leibovitz Unlimited

Annie Leibovitz is one of the most influential photographers of our time. She began working as a photojournalist for Rolling Stone in 1970 while she was still a student at the San Francisco Art Institute.

‘Annie Leibovitz’ draws on more than 40 years of work, starting with the photojournalism Leibovitz did for Rolling Stone magazine in the 1970s through the conceptual portraits she made for Vanity Fair and Vogue. For this project, she selected iconic images—such as John Lennon and Yoko Ono entwined in a last embrace—as well as portraits that had rarely, if ever, been seen before.

Majestic Illumination

Hidden amidst soaring snowy mountains, deep valleys, and desolate deserts are some of the greatest treasures of Buddhist culture and Tibetan heritage. 5. Lakers center Chamberlain soars above the rim to block a shot by Bob Dandridge of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1971 NBA Western Conference finals. The Bucks, led by guard Oscar Robertson and center Kareem, defeated the Lakers in five games. A year later, the Lakers won the first of their dozen NBA titles in Los Angeles.
