Well what do we have here. A limited edition Audi R8 successor with a twin turbo V8.

Not only that, this new Audi Nuvolari is a huge improvement in terms of design over the C Concept. Both exterior and interior.

Still has the spirit of the C Concept but instead of wrapping the car in flat, uninteresting surfaces, we now have so many more features to study.

The wider, textured grille, the larger front air intakes, thr Murcielago-like bat intakes behind the cabin and that rear end with a centered exhaust pipe.

The interior might be minimalist but have you seen the recent Audi interior? This is progress in the right direction. Housing for the cluster, a few physical k***s and buttons, decently integrated screen thats isn’t 52” wide.

I like it. After seeing this I’m not more excited to see what they’ll do with the next gen TT.

The most subtle facelift of all time has to go to the ND Mazda Miata. Couple of tweaks to the internal elements of the headlights, new BBS forged wheels for the Club and thicker LEDs in the rear with a circular outline.

The redline also increase by about 500rpm and we got a new 8.8” info screen instead of the old 7”.

This is not a bad thing and if it was up to me, I’d keep this exact Miata alive for another decade.

Just when I thought the Toyota GR Corolla couldn’t possibly get any better, they drop this - the GRMT Corolla. A little lighter, a little meaner, carbon fiber hood and wing plus a bunch of nice alcantara and bucket seats inside.

This design still looks modern. Love the line flow in the rear creating a focal point around the center logo. We need the wing to balance out the aggressive lower half graphics.

Last but not least, bronze wheels. BRONZE! Not black 🤝

It’s interesting to see how similar in design Lamborghini and Ferrari was in the 60s. Even though one is mid-engined and the other has its V12 in the front, the proportions are still fairly similar.

The modern Lamborghini sharpness is visible even back in the Miura, with the 250 GTO having some of the most beautiful, round, organic body surfaces ever seen in a car.

Ferrari did make a mid-engined 250 in the LM but in my opinion, it was nowhere near as beautiful as the GTO.

Two true pieces of art from en era when cars got as close to a living being as they would ever get.

The Mercedes CLS is one of the most underrated Benzes in history. Super risky move to combine the classic proportions of a luxury sedan with a coupe.

As it turns out, it created an entire new segment of car design. Shortly after it was unveiled, Audi jumped on board with the Sportback models, BMW with their Gran Coupes and Porsche with the Panamera.

But the CLS started it all.

I prefer the first generation because it’s the most unique and has an interior we can only dream of seeing in modern cars.

Long, sweeping lines and a greenhouse so tight it looks like a firing slit.

The last generation definitely lost the uniqueness of the original idea and looks more like a regular modern sedan and I was never a fan of the angled headlights and the bland taillights.

The Gallardo is one of the greatest designs Lamborghini ever made. My personal favorite iteration is the second. Just the updated LED lights front and back make it look way more modern.

But it’s not only that.

The front end lower intakes removed the parallel lines of the original, making it more dynamic. It also got a slightly pointy nose.

The 2013 model looks great in the front, it’s the rear that just isn’t as good as in the 2009 model.

The 2009 is the only iteration that has a single, unbroken graphic element in the rear stretching across the width of the car. This is a great example of how to use graphics to make a vehicle look wider because if you compare it to the original 2004 model, it’s night and day.

It also has beautiful chamfers around key graphics and the best looking diffuser. It’s just modern enough while retaining the classic spirit of the original.
