Due to the threat of severe weather, the Braden Rumfelt concert scheduled for Thursday has been postponed.

The forecast is calling for a 75% chance of rain, with up to half an inch possible and thunderstorms also possible. With the large number of people expected to attend, along with the many logistics and schedules involved, the decision was made early rather than waiting until the last minute.

A new date for the concert is now being worked on and will be announced very soon.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding as plans continue to make this a special event for our community.

Braden is officially coming home.

After making all of us proud on American Idol and performing on one of the biggest stages in the country, Braden Rumfelt will return to Murphy for a free hometown concert at Konehete Veterans Park on Thursday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Braden will perform with his full band for what promises to be a great night of music and community celebration. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and come out to support one of our own as he takes the stage back home in Murphy.

BOLO missing person. Scott Allen Mello. 55 Year old male, 5'5", appx 250 pounds, white hair white beard. Last seen 5:30 am in Hill St area near Murphy PD. No clothing description. Attached picture is recent but not today.
