We thought that the "Florida, See it like a Native" FaceBook group, might find this novel interesting and entertaining. It is full of Southwest Florida references to wildlife, sea creatures, and birds. πππΌββοΈπ
"The Boy Who Swam with Alligatorsβ is appropriate for young adults to seniors. Itβs a story about two people who were brought together for a lifetime. Two families β one with a daughter and one with a son β were drawn to a tiny tropical town in the farthest reaches of beautiful Southwest Florida. They lived only a few miles away from each other, yet worlds apart. One was raised by her parents in Cypress Cove; the other was raised by the Tutelar in the Poaceaehatchee Village. Their very different worlds could not keep them separated, and love found a way.
This novel follows the lives of these two teenagers who became best friends, adventurers, and, eventually, life partners. As they grew, they discovered purpose, fell in love, and made a difference. They continued their adventures when their daughter entered their lives. Their story is set in a simpler time in tropical, unspoiled Southwest Florida β when people were connected with each other and with nature.
