Testing out my new prototype for a wall mount/ display stand to go with my gourd ukuleles. I want them to do their job without being too distracting. At the same time, they need to compliment the piece being displayed. It's a fine balance, but I know I'll get there!

I want to show off some of these gourgous gourd ukuleles I've been making. It's taken a while, but I'm satisfied with the end results! I've made two styles. The bigger one is a full concert size, and the smaller is a soprano.

I've been keeping myself occupied during this time. So far, I haven't run out of things to do or goals to pursue. I managed to churn out a few new paddle guitars this week.
While I'm not making art, I'm reading. The book I'll be reading next is Moby Dick. Many editions of Most Dick are heavily edited down to make it more palatable and quicker to read. Thankfully, I've got time to read the unabridged version.

Oak is much tougher to work with than the pine that I'm used to. After a hot cup of coffee in my ALF mug, I try to better understand the wood as I work with it using a hatchet. I know it may seem unorthodox...but yeah, it is unorthodox.
