Help to save Adobe Animate: petition

If you haven't heard yet, Adobe just announced they're discontinuing Adobe Animate on March 1, 2026 - that's NEXT MONTH. For those of us who've built our entire workflow around Animate, this is devastating. There's literally no alternative that does what Animate does - Adobe themselves admit they can't recommend a full replacement. I started a petition asking Adobe to either keep downloads available, open-source it, or offer perpetual licenses. We need thousands of signatures to get their attention.

Adobe Animate has been a vital tool for countless artists, designers, and animators like myself, allowing us to create captivating animations and designs with ease. However, with Adobe's announcement to discontinue this essential software on March 1, 2026, many of us are at risk of losing access to a platform that has become integral to our creative processes.

Happy 30 year anniversary to Max and his Alphabet Adventures, Max was a 6 year old pre-school character I created with creative director Steve Thomas and executive producer Cathy Masinter for Nickelodeon in the early 90’s.

I came across some animation cels i made for my first animation (hand drawn) for a Wall Street Insurance Company in the late 80’s.
This scene marked the start and end point of a animation walk cycle with Mr. insured.
Original drawings pencil on paper and xeroxed on acetate cels and hand painted from behind.
TRT: 17 min. 1986-1987 16 ml film to video
