Cake smash sessions might be my favorite thing to photograph, and Reagan's did not disappoint 🎂

Here's the thing about one-year milestone sessions: you never quite know what you're going to get. Some babies need a few minutes to warm up to the idea of cake. Others take one look and go absolutely feral for it. Reagan was firmly in the second camp, and it was the best.

If your baby is coming up on their first birthday, now is a great time to get their session on the calendar. These sessions go fast (in the best way), and the photos are ones you'll genuinely treasure.

And if cake smash isn't your thing, no worries at all! We can incorporate whatever food your little one loves into their birthday session. Donuts, pizza, a full steak situation... I'm not joking, we've done it. Sky's the limit.

Class of 2027, it’s your turn in front of the camera. 🤍

One photographer. Six senior sessions. Six completely different stories.

That’s my favorite part about senior photos. No two sessions are ever the same because no two seniors are the same.

As you step into your final year of childhood, let’s capture the version of you that exists right now. Your personality, your style, your friendships, your laughter, your confidence, and even the parts of this season you don’t realize you’ll miss yet.

Because senior year has a way of flying by faster than anyone expects.

And one day, these photos will feel like time frozen in the very best way.

To the Class of 2026,

May this final chapter of your childhood be exactly what you needed it to be.

May the wisdom poured into you over these years rise to the surface at the exact moments you need it most. May resilience and grit show up when life gets hard, because it will get hard, and you will handle it.

I wish you success, not just in the next four years, but in every new beginning that follows. There will be more of them than you can count right now, and that is a beautiful thing.

May you remember the good in people over the ugliness, because the good is there, even when it's harder to find. And may you be a source of that goodness, because this world is counting on exactly that from your generation.

I've known this sweet girl since she took her very first breath.

So when her mom, Andrea, reached out about a 1 year milestone session, my first thought was, "How can it be? She was just born yesterday."

And that's exactly why I do what I do.

Because babies don't keep. Time flies. You blink, and that first year is already gone, spilling into the next. But these moments? These memories? They're cherished for a lifetime, because Andrea said yes to photographing the moments that matter throughout Reagan's entire first year of life.

"Isn't it too early to book my Class of 2027 senior portraits?"

No. Actually, the time is PERFECT for scheduling your senior's portrait session! Doing this the summer before their senior year means you have more availability in your senior's schedule because let's be honest, once school starts and all the activities and academic demands begin, the school year will be over before you know it. Also, the sun during golden hour is *chef's kiss* during the summer. And let me give you a hint... The yearbook deadlines and spotlight photo requests sneak up on us, so why not have those photos ready to go before the school year even starts? You'll be so glad you have this senior to-do item checked off your list.
