We are discontinuing our coverage of the 2024 election as of Thu., Nov. 14, 2024. Island County Elections estimates that there are only 800 ballots remaining to count, and the closest race (BOCC2/JOHNSON v ELLIOTT) has a margin of 779 votes (1.61%) -- outside the margin required for automatic recounts. We Broke The Ice!

Thank you everyone for your support in my campaign! In evaluating WA top-two primary for ICC-D1, I am convinced the write-in campaign will be the only chance Republicans will have to win in the general election. In the same primary race four years ago I only beat N. Howard (D) by 100 votes thanks to Curt Gordon (I) being in the race. D’s have enough votes to control the primary so we conservatives need to help other like-minded voters know that write-ins can win, and their information can be found on the Island County Republican Website.

As of 11/8 (last night) there are still 10K ballots to count with Bacon having 19K, Shimada 10K, write-in (Damian Greene) with 5K, and no votes at 6K.

This is the beginning of our learning process and having probably around 8K write-ins at talley end, that means we are about half-way to achieving what’s needed to win. We can do it!

Everyone deserves to feel safe in our community, and Dave is working closely with first responders, local elected officials, and community members to improve public safety. This included funding for a new training academy in Arlington to help with the growing demand for law enforcement.
