- NEW JERSEY - Local officials have released statements warning residents regarding recent robberies & thefts within Morris, Sussex, Warren, and surrounding counties. Social media posts show Jefferson TWP residents among others - upset online & in person due to acts of crime. According to locals these could be targeted attacks that are pre-planned & executed during selected times.
Curtis Mack spoke with Oak Ridge homeowners and Mack says “Everyone is on high alert. Some suggest these recent offenses are stemming from locals while others believe out-of-towners are responsible”.
A resident from The Oak Ridge Lake Community mentioned to Mack that she saw a Black 4 Door Vehicle with NY plates, the driver was supposedly capturing visuals of neighborhood homes recently according to this source. Attempts to gather video clips from neighbors to help identify the unknown subject and vehicle were made.
In response to recent riff raff behavior CM Productions has developed security safety tips:
- Do NOT leave any valuables in vehicles overnight (wallet, purse, cash, glasses, etc). 📱 💰 👓 🪪 👜
- Lock vehicles overnight. 🌙 🚙
- if possible, double park vehicles on properties. 🏡 🚗 🚙
- Purchase & place AIRTAGS on/in any & all vehicles, vessels, or ATV’s. 🗺️ 🛥️
- Ensure an active security system is present on the property. 🎥 🚨 📺
- Refrain from programing a home address into a GPS. Instead - use a local landmark. 🏠
- Create community watch groups for neighborhoods. 👀
- DO NOT overshare your experiences, assets, or plans with strangers, coworkers, bartenders, clients,
vendors, neighbors, or extended family. 🛑 ✋ 🤫
- Report any suspicious vehicles/ persons to authorities with times, dates, locations, makes, models, & characteristics. 🚘 🧍♂️
- MOST IMPORTANT - Refrain from posting purchases on social media (especially in realtime). Sharing milestones such as graduations or birthdays maybe okay with a family photo. While sharing pictures of purchases, gifts, vacation plans, & investments is not recommended. Hold off and post later or not at all.🏎️🤳
