Premiering Thursday, June 25th at 6:30 PM MST!! How did Peer Pressure’s 48RE survive 846 horsepower… and a nitrous hit?! 👀

We traveled to Boise ID and met up with our friends at Ultimate Transmission to finally tear into the “Unicorn Transmission” from our 2006 Dodge 5.9 Cummins MEGACAB to see what was actually inside — and let’s just say, we found answers, surprises, and plenty of carnage!

This thing was tired, slipping, abused, and somehow still a daily driver for Wes Beaman before retirement.

Now we’re cracking it open with Dave and Heather from Ultimate Transmission to figure out how it held on for dear life, and what it’s going to take to build the next one strong enough for where Peer Pressure is headed.

Did we let the fairy dust out of the Unicorn Trans? 🦄✨

We FINALLY cracked open the transmission that somehow survived way more abuse than it probably should have… and let’s just say, we found some things....👀

HUGE shoutout to Tim and Heather at for staying late and helping us reveal the mysteries that were hiding in this transmission!

Part 1 is the teardown of the Unicorn Trans, and Part 2 will be the build-up of the new transmission we just brought home.

Quick shop/build update. Our event schedule is absolutely SLAMMED from now until late October, so we are BUSY!!

Next few events are:
1. this weekend at the Lone Creek Raceway in Anaconda MT with our Dyno (tickets avaliable on our events page linked in bio)

2. Dyno event in Ogden, UT on July 3rd (tickets avaliable now on our events page)

3. Rubicon Trail with .adventure.life from July 5th to the 8th- we will try to go live for some of that!

4. Roll racing and Dyno event on July 11th at the - we will have our dyno there ... and maybe we shoukd have an after party at our shop.. 🤔😉
.. and SO many more! I will post a full event schedule soon for anyone that wants to follow or come see us at these events.

It's gonna be a BIG season, and looking forward to seeing as many people as possible and hitting those MASSIVE goals we have 🔥

Not every part is exciting until you understand why it matters.

And this oil pan sent us is almost too pretty to hide!

With a filled block, oil cooling becomes a much bigger deal. More oil volume, more surface area, and better control inside the pan all matter when the truck is only making a hard hit for a short amount of time.

Pretty? Yes.
Useful? That’s the whole point.

It’s a shame this thing is going underneath the truck because this one is almost too pretty to hide!

Deb ripped the fender off… again. 😂

We’re showing how to install rivnuts the right way and why they’re actually stronger than most people think when they’re set correctly.

The big thing: the hole size matters, the crush matters, and if the rivnut spins, you’re pretty much cutting it out and starting over.

Is this fender officially Deb-proof? Absolutely not!
But we added more fasteners and gave it the best chance possible.
