Eight years of visiting Toy Story Land and I just realized I’ve been walking over Andy’s footprints the entire time.

The Imagineers pressed them right into the pavement because you’re toy sized in his backyard. Dozens of visits, and I never once connected what I was looking at.

Might be the last person to notice, but finding new details after all these years is another reason I keep going back. ☺️

One of the scarier parts of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary has always been getting the tickets. Every single night sold out for four straight years…until last Sunday. 🎃

Prices have continued to climb every year while the lineup has stayed relatively stagnant, with recent comparisons showing a family of 4 total cost moving from around $240 to $630 since 2019.

My wife went to MNSSHP last year. She’ll be at Disney this September on a girls trip and they’re skipping the party this time. When not much has changed and the ticket is $149, that’s a harder sell than it used to be.

Meanwhile, Universal is bringing a brand new lineup of houses to Halloween Horror Nights annually, competing for those same adult dollars.

24 of 38 nights are still sold out, so this isn’t a disappearing act, but Villains Land can’t get here fast enough. Hopefully an entire new dark corner of Magic Kingdom can provide some much needed life for what Halloween looks like at Disney.

There’s a version of every Disney ride you only get once.

The first time the lights come back on in the teleportation room on Cosmic Rewind, or when the seats spin around backward right before the launch.

The first time the shuttle doors you boarded from on Rise of the Resistance open back up, and you are met with First Order officers and a hangar full of stormtroopers.

The first time Everest runs out of track, the train goes quiet for a split second, and you drop backward into the dark with the person next to you grabbing your arm.

The first time your kids float through it’s a small world and crane their neck at the ceiling, that look of wonder in their eyes.

You can ride them all a hundred more times, but those first memories belong with those friends and loved ones sitting next to you.

Monstropolis, Tropical Americas, and Villains Land are on the way, and I already know what my favorite part will be… our kids stepping into the Casita for the first time for Encanto, and me watching their faces instead of the ride.

Nothing at Disney beats a first time, except watching somebody you love experience theirs.

Grab a Harp from the cart outside Rose & Crown, cross the bridge by International Gateway towards France, and the tables are right there on your right.

Nearly always shaded, rarely ever full, and right along the railing where the Skyliners float by over the lagoon.

No reservations required. ☀️
