In 2020, when so many events were being canceled and communities felt disconnected, a pair of local organizers imagined something different. What began as a socially distanced car parade has grown into the South County Pride Festival—a vibrant annual celebration of visibility, belonging, and community across Washington County. 🌈

On June 13, Wakefield will once again come alive with a parade, live music, performances, local vendors, food trucks, community organizations, and opportunities to connect with neighbors from all walks of life. Along the way, South County Pride has expanded its impact through scholarships, partnerships, and year-round support for the local LGBTQIA+ community. 💛

It's a story about resilience, local leadership, and the power of creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

From creative grocery-store cooking dates with her husband to launching a thriving personal chef business, Katie's journey is rooted in community, wellness, and a passion for helping others feel their best through food. Along the way, she found inspiration, built local connections, and created a business that brings customized meals directly into her clients' homes. 🥗
