Every fall, Sanare's clinicians see the same thing happen in Philadelphia homes: a kid who seemed genuinely happy all summer starts struggling again the second school picks back up. Sunday night stomachaches, exhaustion, avoiding things that felt easy just weeks ago.

Sanare wants parents to know that shift isn't the whole story. It's not regression, it's information about what school is asking of a child that summer wasn't. Their team breaks down five common myths that keep parents stuck, from "the teacher says they're fine so it must be a behavior problem at home" to "if they need help again, we're starting from zero."

Sanare serves Philadelphia families with in-person care in Collegeville, Downingtown, Exton, Drexel Hill, and King of Prussia, plus virtual care across Pennsylvania, with outpatient therapy and higher levels of support for kids and teens who need more.

This Sanare story is featured in our Back to School Guide. Read the full piece and find out what to watch for at:

When back-to-school brings back anxiety, avoidance, and exhaustion, it’s easy to assume you’re starting over. Sanare explains why that shift is often telling you something more useful than that.

Music Theatre Philly has a place for everyone. From a first grader stepping on stage for the first time, to a teen tackling a role that stretches their range, and an adult finally making room for something that's just theirs, MTP meets performers where they are.

This fall’s season includes four musicals for every age group, from Annie KIDS all the way up to MTP Players’ The Wedding Singer, plus weekly classes for students who aren't quite ready for a full production yet. Along the way, performers learn how to listen, support a castmate, recover from a mistake, and keep going. All while building confidence and relationships with their community.

This Music Theatre Philly story is featured in our Back to School Guide. Check it out and find the right fit for your family this fall at:

For over a decade, YEA-Philadelphia has been giving Greater Philadelphia teens something most programs don't: the tools to launch a business of their own with support from experienced mentors and investors.

Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year are open now for students ages 12–18, through September 15, 2026!

YEA! Philadelphia Director Joey Mazza has watched hundreds of students walk through the program, and his biggest realization? Parents think they're signing their kid up for a business class. What they usually get back is a more confident communicator, a stronger problem-solver, and a young person who understands responsibility and accountability.

As Joey puts it: "We are not looking for a miniature adult wearing a business suit. We are looking for drive, coachability, curiosity, and follow-through." That mindset has already produced real results, students like Om Gagrani, who turned a board game idea into a funded business, and Nava Khojasteh, whose nonprofit has provided over 150 hours of free tutoring to underserved students.

Not every student who joins YEA! will start a company after this program. But every student walks away with proof of what they're capable of building.
