MY MIL STARTED COMING TO OUR HOUSE IN LATEX GLOVES, SAYING SHE WAS DISGUSTED TO TOUCH ANYTHING — THE TRUTH WAS MUCH WORSE.
A few months ago, my husband Danny and I had twins. It's chaos, as you can imagine.
My MIL, Marilyn, started visiting, but she showed up every time wearing latex gloves. I was so confused and finally had to ask, "Marilyn, why the gloves?"
Her response? "It's just so messy here. I'm disgusted to touch anything with my bare hands."
It hit me like a slap in the face. Yes, the house was a bit untidy, but I was barely sleeping while caring for two newborns. I tried to keep up, but this was too much. I started cleaning obsessively, even though I was exhausted.
Then one day, EVERYTHING CHANGED.
Danny and I were playing with the girls when Marilyn came in, wearing, of course, her gloves. She was adjusting the roses in the vase when I heard a sharp rip. Marilyn's face went pale as she quickly hid her hand in her pocket, but it was too late. We saw it — underneath it was something that neither of us expected.
"What… what is this, Marilyn? On your hand. What's going on?" ⬇️
