The past 6 months with 12 Elite have been something truly special. From the moment I met these 13 girls during Fall Ball, I knew there was something different about this group. Thinking back to evaluations, tryouts, and our very first practice, they seemed so little, so eager, and so ready to get to work.
From our very first tournament together, we watched these girls connect instantly, and it was beautiful. They became fast friends, built an incredible bond, and carried that connection with them through every practice, every challenge, every win, and all the way through our final day together.
Their growth this season was phenomenal. Not just as volleyball players, but as teammates and young athletes. Physically stronger. Mentally tougher. Smarter in the game. More confident in themselves. They walked out of their last tournament today completely different athletes than the ones who walked into our first practice (and about 6 inches taller!), and I could not be more proud of them for that.
This team gave me so much to be grateful for. The laughs, the lessons, the busyness, the emotions, the highs and lows, the inside jokes, the celebrations, and the memories I’ll carry for a long time. They made me a better coach, and I am incredibly thankful to have been part of their journey.
Watching them grow this season was an honor. Cheering them on in what comes next will be even more exciting.
Once my team, always my team. We are volleyball family forever. 🫶🏐
