Kennywood's Phantom Fall Fest opens September 12th. It's one of my favorite times to visit the park, with four scare zones and seven haunts, there's a ton to see. The park looks beautiful decorated for the season, and I love spending the afternoon with the nostalgic Kennywood vibes and the evenings exploring the haunted attractions.

Ghost: 2 Big To Rig is an excellent reproduction of Ghost's total spectacle of a live show. Their Skeletour is nothing short of theatrical and breathtaking, and this film captures it in grainy 16mm. It's big it's loud and it demands to be seen in IMAX. With intricate camera work, and brilliant sound mixing, this film perfectly captures the vibe of seeing the band live.

Tim Curry was a legend and an icon. I'm saddened to hear of his passing after a long struggle following his stroke in 2012. His performances defined my youth and I will never forget him.

Burial Ground (1981) comes at the height of the Italian Splatter Horror and zombie exploitation wave. With a focus on gore over plot, this film is a series of scenes that exist to do little more than shock you and set up the next wave of terror. The practical effects are the star of the show here, and if you love trashy movies or Italian exploitation horror, you will not be disappointed.

Teenage S*x and Death at Camp Miasma (2026) is a campy, smart take on the influence of media on our lives and how horror can define and liberate us at the same time. With out standing performances, vivid cinematography, and whip smart writing, this film looks at sexuality through the lens of pop culture. It may be the best time I've had in a theater all year.

Bury the Devil (2026) is a masterfully shot, one-take, real time horror movie about a dementia patient, a hospice nurse and demonic possession. Isolated, paranoid, and featuring notably strong performances, be sure to add this to your watchlist when it hits VOD on August 21.

Phantom of the Paradise (1974) is it campy horror Musical drenched in neon, inspired by German expressionism, and parodying the Phantom of the Opera, the music industry, Faust, at a touch of the portrait of Dorian Gray. This horror movie pre-dates The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but it deserves as much cult status as that film. Masterfully made by Brian De Palma and with music by Paul Williams, This one belongs on your watch list tonight.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a landmark horror film with truly American themes. Don't miss this chance to see it on a big screen.
