It's a beautiful afternoon! Temps have warmed quite a bit with many inland areas pushing into the mid 80s. A little taste of the higher heat levels we're expecting from Sunday into next week!

Abnormally dry conditions quickly expanding across Maine, and very little rain is expected in the next 7 days. A long-duration heat wave is also increasingly likely next week which will dry us out further. Drought conditions could develop with this pattern.

Looking ahead to a great weekend! The amazing string of weather continues with comfy weather on Saturday, and more heat and humidity Sunday. Both days will be dry and sunny. Make those beach plans!

It’s national lighthouse day! Should be a holiday here in Maine 😂 we have 66 great ones to enjoy across the state, and by my count I’ve seen around 20 of them! I grew up obsessed with lighthouses so it’s great to live in a place where I can see them all the time.

Good morning! Waking up with you guys on CBS13 this AM, tune in! It's a stunning sunrise out there this AM from Wood Island light in Biddeford, wildfire smoke is much thinner, and we finally get a great sunrise. Another nice warm day on the way!

Humidity levels remain pleasant, if not refreshing this afternoon! We get a few more days of the lower humidity, before we start to feel the mugginess again Sunday and especially Monday as heat levels build again.

Make sure you're staying on top of watering your garden! Almost 4" below normal for rain for the summer so far, and the 7 day forecast has almost no rain in it. Great summer weather though! Lots of beach days on the way. 🏖️🏖️

It was a beautiful day! Got out on Highland Lake earlier, always love seeing the water lilies in bloom. Temps today were cooler and air quality was much better than Monday, and the best part was humidity levels were lower as well. An almost identical day on the way tomorrow!

While milky, hazy skies are likely to stick around for the next couple days, at the very least the air quality impacts will improve a good bit on Tuesday as the smoke near the surface gets pushed out of the state.
