Saturday snow timing:
Much of tomorrow is quiet. Snow arrives 4-7pm, and we'll see a few hours of light to moderate snow. Snow changes to rain or sleet in southern and coastal Maine overnight, with precip coming to an end early Sunday. Warm and nice Sunday afternoon!
This weekend is Maine Maple weekend! If you plan on getting out to enjoy some maple treats, Sunday looks good behind Saturday's snow! Any snow we get will melt quickly as highs near 50 on Sunday afternoon.
A brief return to winter on the way tomorrow evening. Light snow accumulations expected across the state, highest totals of up to 6" in the mountains. Snow begins tomorrow 4-7pm.
Most of Maine saw clouds early this morning, but in far SW maine and NH skies were clear enough to see an incredible Aurora show! It was visible as far south as Phoenix, Arizona this morning!
Gradual clearing expected for this Friday, it should be pretty nice by this afternoon! Mainly sunny skies expected later today with breezy winds. Highs reach the upper 40s for most.

begins as snow for everyone late Saturday, though a change to rain is likely Saturday night. Best chance of more substantial accumulations will be in the mountains.
In a lull right now, but more rain is on the way beginning late this morning. Expect wet weather through the afternoon hours today, including for the evening commute. Rain comes to an end tonight.
Good morning! We've seen some sprinkles and light snow in the mountains early this morning, but overall it's still fairly quiet. Steadier rain arrives late this morning and continues through the afternoon.

Rain showers develop late tonight, with snow in the mountains. The morning will be quiet tomorrow, with steadier rain for the afternoon. Rain ends Thursday evening with sunny skies returning Friday.
While this weekend's storm will bring much more widespread snow, tomorrow will bring some light accumulations to the mountains and northern Maine. Snow will likely change to rain for most, except for the highest elevations and far N. Maine.
Today will be nice, but tomorrow brings widespread rain to the state. Scattered early morning showers will gave way to a steadier rain for the late morning and afternoon. It's all rain outside of the high elevations.
Good morning! Waking up in the 20s and 30s for most. We'll see a few morning clouds, but overall Wednesday looks pretty nice with plenty of afternoon sun. Cooler with highs in the lower to middle 40s.
Closing in on 50 in Portland at lunchtime! The last of the clouds are moving out of southern Maine, a mainly sunny and 50+ afternoon ahead for most!
Wednesday will be 10 degrees cooler than today in many spots. We'll see more clouds for the afternoon, ahead of rain which arrives Thursday. Expect a wet day with rain through the evening hours, some snow is possible in the mountains.

After a gorgeous stretch of weather Monday-Wednesday, our next chance of rain arrives Thursday. This looks like a mild system with mainly rain. Chillier temps arrive along with a storm system this weekend, and there is the potential for snow across much of the state.
This week: beautiful through Wednesday with lots of sun and mild temps. Rain arrives Thursday, and we stay mild thru the end of the week. Models are in fairly good agreement on a return to winter weather by next weekend- time will tell if we will see a significant storm.

A cool and cloudy St. Paddy's Day in Maine. Showers develop after lunchtime, they look widely scattered at the coast with more widespread showers in the mountains. All rain at the coast, snow will be confined to the mountains.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀🍀🍀 Starting off in the 20s and 30s this morning, and overall today doesn't look too bad- some showers on the way though for the afternoon and evening.
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! We'll start out cloudy, and then see showers developing for the afternoon. It's rain for most, but light snow accumulations are expected in the mountains. Highs will be in the 30s to around 40.

Rain/sleet/snow will continue into the early afternoon, most of us outside the mountains will gradually switch over to sleet or rain. Most precip should wrap up by sunset this evening, with lows falling below freezing again tonight. Thursday will be sunnier and windy as well.

Rain/snow line moving inland early this AM, if you didn't get any snow at the coast yet, the chance is coming to an end. Snow really ramps up for inland areas over the next hour or so, expect a messy commute this morning. Most change over to sleet/rain by lunchtime. #mewx
Tracking the storm: Snow/rain will begin shortly after midnight, becoming widespread for the early AM. Some flakes at the coast quickly change to rain. Inland areas will likely see moderate to heavy snow for the AM commute, with sleet mixing in as the day goes on. Nicole is heading to Maine! Clouds will increase tomorrow, rain develops after sunset. Rain becomes steady overnight and winds ramp up after midnight. Looks like the worst conditions will be Saturday morning, gradually improving as we head into the afternoon. #mewx
#Nicole makes landfall on Florida tomorrow as a hurricane, and then quickly moves up the east coast. Rain and wind arrive in Maine on Friday evening, continuing through much of Saturday. Not expecting major flooding, but wind gusts will be over 40mph along the coast. #mewx
Heavy rain and wind are looking very likely this weekend in Maine. Current subtropical storm Nicole will make landfall in Florida late this week near hurricane strength. The remnants are then pulled into an approaching storm system, bringing the chance for heavy rain and gusty winds by Saturday. #mewx
