“Rooted” is a new series that highlights the stories behind the small businesses in Maine! Shout out to host for inviting me to be a part of it!

We’ve been cooking up this first batch of episodes since February and I’m happy to share that the first episode is officially live on his YouTube channel, featuring local favorite !

While filming this Kegs & Issues event, I realized I forgot my on-camera light. So with my phone flashlight and a diffuser borrowed from , I was still able to capture the interview I needed (thanks Will!).

The most photographed lighthouse in the world on a snowy Maine afternoon (with a bonus photo of the Ram Island Ledge Light Station).

It feels strange posting about my work, or posting about videography and photography, or pictures of light houses or whatever else, when in my own city, there are people being abducted by armed men in masks.
-
While I’m continuing to do what I can to take care of those around me, I must also continue to run my business if I want to keep a roof over my head. This business stands for empathy, kindness, and the understanding that the most important stories you could ever hear are ones from people different than yourself.

I pledge to continue to be there for those in my community however I’m able. And I hope you’ll do the same for your neighbors.

Last month, I partnered with the to capture their recurring business forum called Eggs & Issues! Each event features an organization or individuals sharing their insight about important topics that affect the Maine business community. This time, they spoke to the about how climate change will affect the working waterfront, and what can be done to combat rising tides.

The event is also a great place to network within the Maine business community, and start the day on a positive note! The next one will be in February, so keep your eye out for that!

Excited for more upcoming partnerships with the Chamber in the coming months!
