Thanks to the generosity of the Reading Public Library Foundation, the library has a beautiful new outdoor space that extends our programming area and offers the community a new spot to meet up and enjoy the outdoors, especially through the summer. Reading Massachusetts Police Department will continue in its tradition of honoring high school seniors by wearing a "Reading Rocket" patch throughout the month of June. Reading Memorial High School's graduation will be held on Friday, May 29. Members of the Reading Police Department, including School Resource Officers, will wear the special patch on their uniforms throughout June to honor the seniors. Two crews from Reading Scout Troop 702, Reading, MA and their adult advisors spent Memorial Day weekend backpacking in southern New Hampshire in preparation for their 9-day trek at Philmont High Adventure Scout Ranch through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Cimarron, New Mexico, this summer.
