The 1700 block of Grace Church Road was closed temporarily while emergency personnel responded to a single-vehicle moped crash. The road reopened at approximately 3:50 p.m.

N.C. State Highway Patrol Troopers said on scene that witnesses saw the driver swerving before crashing. The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Despite rumors online that the wreck was fatal, a NCSHP spokesperson later confirmed that the incident was a "personal injury" crash, not a fatal one, meaning that the driver was not dead.
