Not just in Pilates.
In life.
Are you practicing patience?
Learning a movement takes time.
So does learning ourselves.
We practice staying with something
even when it doesn’t come easily.
Are you practicing consistency?
Showing up.
Again and again.
Not because every day is perfect,
but because the practice matters.
Are you practicing presence?
Feeling where you are.
Paying attention.
Noticing what changes
from one moment to the next.
The work asks us to be here.
Are you practicing strength?
Not just the kind that lifts, pushes or holds.
The strength to stay curious.
To keep going.
To meet yourself where you are
and build from there.
Are you practicing listening?
Listening to your body.
Listening to what the movement is telling you.
Listening before you decide what comes next.
Are you practicing trust?
Trusting the process.
Trusting your practice.
Trusting that you don’t have to have
everything figured out today.
Maybe this is one of the most beautiful things about a movement practice…
Eventually,
it moves beyond the studio.
We practice patience.
We practice showing up.
We practice attention.
We practice listening.
We practice trust.
And little by little,
those things follow us home.
The Pilates work is never just about the movement.
It is an opportunity to notice
how we move through the world.
