December has arrived! Here are four things to look forward to this month:

1. SPORTS: College football's bowl games kick off December 13th. There's NFL and NHL action all month. The MLS Cup Final goes down this Saturday. And the third annual NBA Cup tournament runs through December 16th.

2. MOVIES: The BIG ones this month are "Avatar: Fire and Ash" and "The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants" opening December 19th.

Also, "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" opens Friday, so does the re-release of BOTH "Kill Bill" movies, running 4 hours and 35 minutes! Timothée Chalamet plays a professional ping-ponger in "Marty Supreme" on the 25th. And Jack Black and Paul Rudd star in "Anaconda", also out Christmas Day.

3. TV: The Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting is Wednesday on NBC. The docuseries "Taylor Swift: The End of an Era" hits Disney+ the 12th. "Fallout" Season 2 starts the 17th. The second half of "Stranger Things" Season 5 kicks off Christmas Day... The finale lands the 31st.

4. HOLIDAYS: The big ones are Christmas on the 25th, Hanukkah, starting December 14th, and Kwanzaa starts the 26th.

Today is giving Tuesday. National Ice Cream Day on the 13th. Answer the Phone Like Buddy the Elf Day on the 18th. Ugly Sweater Day on the 20th. Festivus is the 23rd. And the 31st is New Year's Eve!

The beloved Peanuts creator was born November 26, 1922 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He moved to our town of Santa Rosa, California in 1969 where he lived until his death in 2000.

Triple-A expects just under 82 million people to travel for Thanksgiving this year, with 73.3 million opting to drive.

So, what are the worst days to leave?

In general, the worst times to be on the road are next Tuesday from noon to 9:00 P.M., and next Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

The worst times to be heading home? Sunday, November 30th between 11:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. and Monday, December 1st between noon and 8:00 P.M. That Monday is rough, because there's also regular commuter traffic.

The BEST day to drive is next Thursday. There's usually not a ton of traffic on Thanksgiving itself.

In summation, if you can't travel on actual Turkey Day, leave as early as you can!
