Fountain-Fort Carson High School HOSA is making history!
Our chapter attended the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee—and in just our fifth year as a chapter, we achieved several exciting firsts! 👏
🏆 Top 10 Finish!
Annastacia Benedict placed 8th in Environmental Health.
⚕️Skills Round Qualifiers
For the first time ever, multiple students qualified for the skills round of their event. In order to make it to round two, the students had to be in the top 35 of all participants in that event. Some of these events had more than 250 participants

🧠 Mental Health Promotion Presenters
Ashlynn Warpinski & Tayly Shull advanced to present their project on burnout in student-athletes—a project they brought to Carson Middle School during the school year!
🔪 Surgical Technology Pilot Event
Brooklynn Burnes & Caleigh Drown were selected to present in this year’s new pilot event. Caleigh joined a national panel of 4 students to speak on the field and event experience. Brooklynn was 1 of 4 selected to demonstrate surgical skills, and she was awarded a plaque from the State Advisor for placing 1st in the state earlier this year!
🥇 Christopher Fitzgerald was Awarded the Gold Level, which is the highest level you can achieve, for the Barbara James Service Award.
The Barbara James Service Awards allow members to become contributing members of their communities by performing worthy volunteer community service hours related to health. Chris spent more than 250 hours this past year doing various community service activities.
🗳️ Voting Delegates
Madalyn Balkom & Mia Perez were selected by our State Advisor to represent Colorado as voting delegates, playing a key role in electing HOSA's new International Executive Council.
