Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had a jam packed day today so I’m a little late but hey, it ain’t midnight yet… It sure was a gorgeous day up here in the northland and it made me realize how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. I took this shot right out the dining room window at my in-laws just after thanksgiving dinner. I’m hoping she’ll be ice covered very soon.

All 3 generations of Wistads are tagged out! Dad pulled the trigger on a nice 10 just about 2 hours after Jackson and I dropped our double this morning. What an amazing memory to share with some of my favorite people!

I walked up on this scene a couple winters ago and for some reason it really torqued me. I have harvested an awful lot of fish and game over the years, but I just don’t feel it’s ethical to catch fish of any kind and dump them or leave them to rot unless they are a designated harmful invasive species(which rock bass certainly are not) and even then, when we used to bowfish carp I at least tried to use them for garden fertilizer. What do you think?
