Penn State makes quick work of NDSU, winning 46-0 in its first match at the Collegiate Wrestling Duals in Nashville.

With the win, the Nittany Lions tie the NCAA DI record with 76 consecutive wins. They'll go for record-breaking win No. 77 at 7 PM vs. Stanford.

After public criticism of Penn State's player leadership in recent days, Terry Smith says he believes accountability won't be an issue in 2026.

Smith pointed to Nittany Lions like King Mack, Anthony Donkoh, and Tony Rojas as model leaders for the program next fall:

"I think we're in great hands for next year. I think the leadership will have a lot of accountability to each other. I think our growth from the second half of the season gives us momentum to what it should look like, and I think we're going to be in good hands."

This evening, USC coach Lincoln Riley responded to questions about Penn State pursuing defensive coordinator - and Nittany Lion letterman - D'Anton Lynn for a second straight offseason:

“Those things are what they are. Everybody prioritizes different things. That’s why I don’t judge that, I get it. But again, I mean, last year Penn State hired the D coordinator from the team that won the national championship, right? These things happen.

“So, obviously D’Anton has done a really good job here, and we’ll see how it plays out.”

Clemson DC Tom Allen on facing Terry Smith and a Penn State football team that looks very different than when he was in Happy Valley a year ago:

"Terry did a great job with our corners when I was there. And just tough, gritty. Did a great job recruiting them, holding them to the standard. I thought he ran his room at an elite level, and they performed at high levels for us.

Much focus has been given to the Penn State players who are opting out of the Pinstripe Bowl.

But WR Trebor Peña said that the Nittany Lions who are choosing to play are focusing on what they can control:

"For guys that are opting out and choosing not to play in the game, I feel like that's their choice. For the rest of the team that is playing, we're all bought in.

"And you know, it's one more opportunity to play as this team, 2025 team, and finish the story the right way. So I feel like we're all excited, and we're all attacking it the right way."

But with one game left to play, Terry Smith recently rallied Penn State’s players and coaches with a simple message:

“And basically, the meeting was, you’re either in or you’re out. And you know that the people that are going to show up in New York for the Pinstripe Bowl, we’re going to be prepared and ready to go win the game. And that’s the challenge of what we’re doing right now.”

Will Penn State football let players who enter the transfer portal play in the Pinstripe Bowl? Terry Smith said today that he'd like to see his players finish what they started:

"I'm an old school football guy. The reason we're all on this call is because Penn State plays football, and I want to hold every guy accountable that we finish the season. And then after the season, we all make the best decision for each individual, whether that's going in the portal or not. But policy-wise, I would like for every kid to finish the season with us, and then we make decisions once the season concludes."
