From a former member who recently left Remnant Fellowship Church:

Allegedly, this is what is happening:

“Unfortunately, a new generation is starting to lead at church. Around 19-23ish. A lot of those leadership kids are being raised how to lead people and how to be the authority now. But majority of them are not religious professionals, or went to school for religion. ( I don’t think a person has to get formal education to be a church leader). But those Remnant kids have been sheltered in a privladged life and have no idea what hardships people in the world go through, how to counsel someone in those situations. But they’re not being taught how to interpret the Bible. That’s why none of them question the doctrine. They don’t interpret the Bible, and instead let their parents tell them what the church doctrine means so they can memorize it. So I’m even more worried for when they grow up to lead the church, if it’s still around, because I don’t think they can interpret the Bible to someone whose never read it, and help them get out of sin. They also will never know the sin their parents did that made half the church leave, and pass down another generation of false doctrine.”

Remnant tells its congregation, “We must be on the right path if we’re receiving this much persecution.”

If every concern is labeled “persecution,” then no one is allowed to hold leadership accountable…and that’s exactly how unhealthy systems protect themselves.

This is one of my favorite Bible verses, and it leaves me with a genuine question for Remnant Fellowship.

If you truly believe this verse, why would members be encouraged to cut off relationships with family members who are not part of the church?

Why would people be made to feel unworthy because of their weight, because they ask questions, or because they express concerns?

Why would “Beulah wives” be encouraged to divorce husbands simply because those husbands are not members of the church?

Would you want someone to do those things to you? To your spouse? To your children?

The verse calls us to treat others the way we would want to be treated. So how do these practices align with that command?

This isn’t meant to be an attack. It’s a sincere question that deserves a sincere answer.

RF did NOT delete their comment. This was my mistake. 🫶🏼 You have to click on “all” comments and not “relevant.” I apologize for that. I am still in complete shock that they admitted to knowing about this alleged abuse, yet none of leadership contacted authorities. Isn’t it your #1 rule to tattle on every little thing to authorities? This is a BIG thing. Why was it not handled with proper care and urgency?!

Remnant Fellowship Church just deleted their comment on Michael’s post so I thought I would generously share. 🫶🏼

For reference, this was their response to Michael Black calling out someone in the church who had abused children.

In Remnant’s response, they are acknowledging they knew about the alleged abuse and just simply told the family to contact law enforcement. Umm, I’m sorry. WHAT?!

Why did YOU not contact authorities, Remnant?! Aren’t there mandated reporters there?!

It is truly DESPICABLE that you are choosing image control over protecting the most vulnerable! What else have you swept under the rug to try to maintain this facade?!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I know I have posted a lot recently about high-control religious environments, particularly one in particular.

I want to make something very clear to anyone who may be reading this from ANY high-control organization, church, or group: I have no affiliation with Remnant Fellowship or any other high-control religious organization. I have never stepped foot inside Remnant, and I have never personally met a former Remnant member. I am simply a wife and mom who loves Jesus with my whole heart and cares deeply about people.

If you have been questioning things and are afraid to talk to anyone, I want you to know that anything you share with me will remain confidential. If you need someone to listen, I’m here. If you simply need a safe place to process your thoughts, I’m here. If you would like to hear about the freedom, peace, and joy I have experienced through my relationship with Jesus Christ, I would be honored to share that with you.

I understand how intimidating it can be to reach out. You may have been taught that asking questions, seeking outside perspectives, or speaking openly could cost you your relationships, your community, or even your salvation. Those fears can feel overwhelming.

But if you are struggling, questioning, or simply looking for a safe and judgment-free conversation, please know that my door is open. You do not have to navigate those feelings alone.
