Living with chronic illness can feel so ironic sometimes.
The same things that make me feel alive, the hikes, the views, the little adventures, the moments that remind me why life is beautiful, can also leave me paying for it for days after.
Not because I’m weak. Not because I’m lazy. Not because I don’t want to do more.
Because invisible illness is real.
You can look happy in a photo and still be hurting. You can smile at the top of a trail and still need days to recover. You can be grateful for the moment and still struggle with the cost of it.
I’m sharing this because so many people are carrying things we never see. Chronic illness, grief, anxiety, pain, stress, burnout, heartbreak. We truly never know what someone else is walking through.
So be kind. Be gentle with people.
Be grateful for the body you have today.
And if you’re living this too, I see you.
You’re not alone. 🤍
