It was such an incredible evening at the Visit Detroit ROSE Awards celebrating 30 years of the people who help make Detroit shine.

Plus, a huge congratulations to our friends at Rock Events on taking home The William F. McLaughlin Hospitality Award for Service Excellence 🥂 Well deserved.

Behind every big automotive moment is a crew making it happen.

Last week, our team was behind the scenes for Speedweek. A full week of automotive power from the teams at Dodge and the SRT Performance Division to bring in this years Road Kill Nights.

Creative Day was on hand for all the action behind the scenes producing 2 dynamic back to back press events. Working closely with the DODGE and SRT teams to introduce some of the most powerful production vehicles and technology straight from the factory.

A combination of creative production, AV, and technical expertise was used to turn these press conferences into full-scale event experiences.

In addition to massive displays and event infrastructure, our creative team and crews keeping every moment on cue, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes that the audience never sees.

The cars are stars and our team makes sure the stage, technology, and experience are ready for their powerful entrance.

Hope brought three Detroit-area organizations together for a meaningful day at Oakland Hills Country Club.

The Applied Underwriters Invitational, hosted by Frank Torre, brought together a day of golf, conversation, and connection in support of Hope Ignites Detroit, an organization working to remove barriers so Detroit-area students can continue their education after high school.

Oakland Hills was a fitting backdrop. After a devastating fire destroyed its 100-year-old clubhouse in 2022, the club rebuilt with the support of its community and came back stronger.

For Creative Day, the evening program meant bringing the right audio visual technology and technical expertise together to support a room built around conversation and connection.

This end of July marks Creative Day Technologies’ departure from Mackinac Island for the summer of 2026. Each season on the island has its own rhythm.

The work is familiar, but never routine.

The setting is iconic, but every event brings a different client, a different audience, and a different story to tell. That is what keeps this place meaningful for our team.

Producing events at the Grand Hotel asks us to balance preparation with adaptability, technical precision with respect for the venue, and modern production with the timeless character of Mackinac Island.

For Creative Day, the reward is helping clients create experiences that feel connected to the place and memorable long after the lights go down.

Here's to one more trip up north and one more Michigan summer on Mackinac Island.

Innovation doesn't happen by waiting for the next trend. It happens by saying yes to challenges that haven't been solved yet.

Last year, former Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan wanted to deliver his final State of the City address from The Department at Hudson's, Detroit's newest event venue.

There was just one catch.

The venue was still under construction and wouldn't officially open for another six months. That meant no one had produced an event there before. No playbook. No previous load-in. No lessons learned.

Working alongside the City of Detroit and Barton Malow, our team stepped into a building that was still concrete, steel, and hard hats. We walked the space before walls were finished, took measurements from construction drawings, coordinated a temporary certificate of occupancy, and planned a broadcast-quality production in a venue that didn't technically exist yet.

But when you're out front, you're the one discovering the pitfalls and making the path smooth from the rest who are following behind. We adjusted, pivoted, thought creatively and delivered a polished, broadcast-worth production for the Mayor and the citizens he was speaking to in the middle of a construction zone!

That's what we love about this industry.

Being first means asking questions no one else has had to ask yet.

It means solving challenges before they become obstacles and building the roadmap for everyone who follows.

That's the work our team shows up for every day.

The celebration started where it all began in Toledo, Ohio, with an employee appreciation event, then rolled over to Stellantis North America Headquarters, where Timmy McKeever kept the party going for employees and their families.

Creative Day Technologies was excited to celebrate in both locations, providing the technology that helped bring the events to life.

Here's to 85 years of adventure, innovation, and the incredible people who made it all possible. Cheers to the next chapter!
