"The Big Showoff" auditions were held at the Church.
We welcomed so many talented artists. We feel sorry for the judges!
The Big Showoff is a talent competition that raises funds for the Tulsa Day Center and will be judged by some nice folks including our very own Teresa Knox. We love the talent (and generosity) of Tulsa, Okla. ❤️

Karen Carpenter (1950-1983) performs “Superstar.” The beautiful song was written by Bonnie Bramlett and Leon Russell in 1969 and was originally titled ”Groupie.” 🌹

We’ve had some great times with our good friend and neighbor David Teegarden over the years. Today we celebrate him! ♥️ This was one for the books when we brought Gary Busey in. David hosted us at his studio and we were joined by Jimmy Markham and Jamie Oldaker.
Happy 80th Birthday David. We love you and cherish all the great memories we’ve made together.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Reese Wynans, legendary keyboardist for Joe Bonamassa, stopped by to tickle the keys of our vintage Hammond B3 organ. His career spans decades of rock history, playing with Carole King, the Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Delbert McClinton, and many more.

The church was built in 1915 and started as Grace M.E. Church. It was converted to a world-class recording studio in 1972 by Grammy-Award winning musician, singer, songwriter, and producer Leon Russell. Once the historic renovation is complete, the beautiful structure will once again become a recording studio, community space and home to the Church Studio Archive. Today, The Church Studio is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Landmark.
The Church Studio Music Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, supports the understanding, appreciation, and advancement of music.
