Nearly 60 years after it was recorded, a reel to reel tape of a young Jorma Kaukonen was discovered in storage, found by his wife, Vanessa. The 1965 tape captures Jorma’s fingerpicking style preserved on a reel-to-reel. That lost performance is now seeing the light of day as "Wabash Avenue," a reminder that great music never really disappears. It just waits to be heard again.

Many hits were cut on this Neumann M49 Originally from Cherokee Studios, we acquired it from the Ricky Nelson family. But today, we celebrate Rod Stewart who turns 81 today and who recorded "Maggie May" on this exact microphone in 1971.

Happy Birthday to the legendary Jimmy Page 🎸 After recording Stairway to Heaven, Jimmy Page picked up a cherry red Gibson EDS-1275 to recreate the song’s iconic guitar choir live. Making its debut in March 1971, the double neck allowed him to move seamlessly between 12 string and 6 string parts and quickly became one of the most recognizable guitars in rock history.

We’ve got a "Whole Lotta Love" for Jimmy today as he turns 80. We also remember 1988 when he paid tribute to Leon Russell with his rendition of Hummingbird, a special connection we’re proud to celebrate!
