Nashville Stampede, Missouri Thunder, and Carolina Cowboys Share League-Best 11-6 Record At Season’s Halfway Point


RIDGEDALE, Mo. – Powered by Jose Vitor Leme’s record-setting 12th consecutive ride, the Austin Gamblers (8-9) spoiled the Missouri Thunder’s (11-6) chance of a perfect weekend at home during Bass Pro Shops PBR Thunder Days presented by DoorDash at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena Sunday evening in the event finale.

Austin’s thrilling 261.5-256.6 win over the No. 2 Thunder featured six hard fought rides. In the game’s first out, Austin’s Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil), three-time PBR World Champion, two-time Teams league MVP, and 2024 PBR Teams Champion, extended his ride streak to 12 games, a PBR Teams league record, with an 87.9-point performance on Getcha Some. Sage Steele Kimzey (Strong City, Okla.) followed up with 87.8 points on Go Blue. With the Gamblers down a bull in the fourth, Vinicius Pinheiro Correa (Aimores, Brazil) scored 85.8 points on All Magic to put Austin ahead, eventually for the win.

Leme also became the only rider in PBR Teams history to record four consecutive perfect 3-for-3 events.

Missouri opened the game 3-for-3 as Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) rode Stryker for 83.85 points, extending his ride streak to 10 games. Felipe Furlan (Sales Oliveira, São Paulo, Brazil) backed up the ride with 89.2 points on There’s Your Sign in the second before Julio Cesar Marques (Tatuí, São Paulo, Brazil) bested XIT Knock Out for 83.55 points.

The Arizona Ridge Riders (9-8) only needed one ride to defeat the Kansas City Outlaws (6-11) 86.75-0, snapping a four-game losing streak and going a game above .500. Arizona’s Everton Natan da Silva (Viradouro, São Paulo, Brazil) rode What a Day in the third in a game dominated by the bovine athletes.

The New York Mavericks (4-13) bested the Florida Freedom (7-10) 172.05-89.25 for their fourth win of the season and third in the past five games. Florida’s Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) started the game with an 89.25-point ride on Max Bet while New York’s João Henrique Lucas (Bastos, São Paulo, Brazil) responded with 85.55 points on Margin of Error, who he has solved in all three career attempts. Leonardo Castro (Cassilandia, Brazil) won the game for New York with an 86.5-point ride on Irish Car Bomb in the third, the final qualified ride of the game.

In the longest game in PBR Teams history due to two weather delays, the Oklahoma Wildcatters (8-9) prevailed over the Carolina Cowboys (11-6) by a hair, 177.65-177.4 to complete a perfect 3-0 weekend in Ridgedale. Carolina started the game with rides in the first two frames as Thiago Salgado (Naviraí, Brazil) bested Cowboy Pl***oy for 89.5 points followed by an 87.9-point ride by Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil) on Milestone. Oklahoma’s Kaiden Loud (Kaufman, Texas) put the Wildcatters on the board in the third with 88.75 points on El Chapo. Eduardo Matos (Emilianópolis, São Paulo, Brazil) rode The Heat for 88.9 points in the top of the fifth to put Oklahoma ahead for good by a quarter of a point.

In another narrow finish, the Texas Rattlers (10-7) defeated the No. 1 Nashville Stampede (11-6) 177.65-177.2 to go 3-0 on the weekend. Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) struck first for Texas with 89.2 points on Snapout before Nashville’s Daniel Feitosa (Guaraci, Brazil) responded in the second with 87.6 points on Alabama Slammer, declining the re-ride option. 42-year-old João Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, São Paulo, Brazil) rode UB Smooth in the final out for Texas which ultimately proved the game-winning ride. To close the game, Nashville’s Gustavo Luiz da Silva (Inocência, Brazil) entered a must-ride situation, needing 90.1 points on Scrappy for the walk off win. He rode for the full eight but his score of 89.6 points fell .45-point shy of the comeback win.

Wicked Intentions was the high-marked bull for the second event in a row, recording 46.25 points when he bucked off Vinicius Rodrigues Pereira in 1.75 seconds on Sunday afternoon in the second game of the day.

MISSOURI THUNDER DEFEAT IN-STATE RIVAL KANSAS CITY OUTLAWS TO EXTEND WIN STREAK TO EIGHT GAMES

Jose Vitor Leme Sets New PBR Teams Record with 11th Straight Qualified Ride


RIDGEDALE, Mo. – In front of an electric home crowd, the Missouri Thunder (11-5) defeated their in-state rivals, the Kansas City Outlaws (6-10), 266.95-177.6, to extend their win streak to eight games Saturday night at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena. League No. 2 Missouri heads into the final day of their homestand tied with the Nashville Stampede and Carolina Cowboys for the lead in wins.

Missouri’s Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) recorded a huge 90.5-point ride on Scrappy in the first, making his ninth consecutive ride, the second-longest active streak and third-longest in PBR Teams history. Julio Cesar Marques (Tatuí, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Margin of Error for 88.55 points in the third to put the Thunder up two bulls. With the game already decided, Maverick Smith (Cabool, Mo.) bested Smores for 87.9 points in the final frame in front of his home-state crowd.

The Outlaws recorded a pair of rides against the Thunder with a 90.2-point ride by 2024 PBR World Champion and Rookie of the Year Cassio Dias (São F. de Sales, Brazil) on American Made and an 87.4-point ride by Heitor Santos Ferreira (Goiatuba, Brazil) as he subbed in on re-ride opportunity.

In a game that featured three lead changes, the Oklahoma Wildcatters (7-9) edged the Austin Gamblers (7-9) 177.25-175.15, opening Saturday’s slate of games. Three-time PBR World Champion and 2024 Teams Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) rode Krispy Kreme for 88.35 points. The ride not only put Austin on the board but also marked a new record in PBR Teams league history as Leme rode his 11th consecutive bull in Teams action.

“This is a great moment in my career,” said Leme on the Paramount+ telecast. “Another record set and to have my family here with me and watching me doing all this, it’s so special to me. I’m just so blessed.”

Following Leme’s ride, Oklahoma’s Kaiden Loud (Kaufman, Texas) bested Irish Car Bomb in the third for 89.2 points to put the Wildcatters in front by less than a point. Austin’s Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, São Paulo, Brazil) regained the lead for the Gamblers with 86.8 points on Bucktown, but Marcelo Procopio Pereira (Rinopolis, São Paulo, Brazil) put Oklahoma on top with an 88.05-point ride aboard Mike’s Motive on a re-ride opportunity that ultimately sealed the win.

The No. 1 Nashville Stampede (11-5) outrode the New York Mavericks (3-13) three bulls to two, snapping a three-game losing streak in the 261.95-176.05 win. Alan de Souza (Tremembé, São Paulo, Brazil) opened the game with an 85.5-point ride on Live Bait to put Nashville on the board. Gustavo Luiz da Silva (Inocência, Brazil) added 88.45 points to the team’s total after riding Milestone in the second. Nashville’s final ride was earned by Riquelmi Silva (Bom Jesus do Araguaia, Brazil), lasting the full eight on Cowboy Pl***oy in the win. Silva’s ride continued his perfect slate against the Mavericks, improving to 4-for-4 against New York.

New York’s pair of rides came in the opening frames as Mauricio Gulla Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Mo Money for 87.4 points followed by an 88.65-point ride by Afonso Quintino (São Luís de Montes Belos, Brazil) in the second.

The Texas Rattlers (9-7), powered by two early rides, bested the Arizona Ridge Riders (8-8) 179.05-85.85. Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) recorded a monster 91.65points on Dirty Bomb to set the tone for the Rattlers in the first. Arizona’s Luciano De Castro (Guzolandia, São Paulo, Brazil) responded with 85.85 points on Hoka Hey, the Ridge Riders’ only score of the game. Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) rode Money Hustler in the second for 87.4 points to extend the lead for the Rattlers with all the points they would need for their second win in Missouri.

The Carolina Cowboys (11-5) defeated the Florida Freedom (7-9) in dominant fashion, outriding Florida three rides to none in a 267.3-0 victory. Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil) bested Tchoupitoulas for 87.8 points in the second to put Carolina on the board. In the fourth, Keyshawn Whitehorse (McCracken Spring, Utah) rode Hoobastank for 89.7 points and is now 5-for-5 on the bull. Two-time PBR World Champion and 2025 PBR Teams Champion Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Mont.) recorded 89.8 points for the Cowboys aboard Tijuana Two-Step, the final qualified ride of the game.

The final day of Bass Pro Shops PBR Thunder Days presented by DoorDash at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena resumes Sunday, Sept. 6 at 2:15 p.m. CT. Prior to the final day’s start, fans can catch a special CBS “Game of the Week” tripleheader at 11 a.m. CT Sunday. PAULO EDUARDO ROSSETTO LIFTS MISSOURI THUNDER TO SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN IN WALK-OFF FASHION

Nashville Stampede, Carolina Cowboys, Missouri Thunder Own League-Best 10-5 Records after Two Walk Off Wins on Friday Night


RIDGEDALE, Mo. – With his team down to their last out and trailing by 84.95 points, Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) used his second re-ride opportunity to score 87.6 points on Special Ops to beat the Florida Freedom in walk off fashion, extending the Missouri Thunder’s (10-5) win streak to seven straight games to open night one of Bass Pro Shops PBR Thunder Days presented by DoorDash at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena Friday night.

Rossetto’s clutch score marked his eighth straight ride, the second-longest active ride streak this season.

“That’s why he’s the leader of our pack,” Missouri head coach Ross Coleman said on the dirt after Rossetto’s winning ride. “He leads by example. He lets his riding do the talking, but he also works harder than you can ever imagine – at home, in the gym, and in the practice pen – and these guys follow him.”

The Thunder defeated the Freedom (7-8) 175.8-173.15 in the final game of the night. Florida scored the first ride of the game with Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil) riding UB Smooth for 88.1 points. Missouri’s Macaulie Leather (Calliope, Queensland, Australia) scored 88.2 points on White Out to get on the board. Florida’s final ride came from João Lucas Campos (Porto Feliz, São Paulo, Brazil) with 85.05 points on Pneu-Dart's Chief Wahoo.

The Carolina Cowboys (10-5) earned their 10th win of the season in walk-off style against the Arizona Ridge Riders (8-7) to open the night in Ridgedale. Luciano De Castro (Guzolandia, São Paulo, Brazil) scored the game’s first qualified ride with 87.9 points on What a Day. Carolina took the lead when two-time PBR World Champion Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Mont.) scored 88.55 points on Apache Dots in the second. Arizona’s Everton Natan da Silva (Viradouro, São Paulo, Brazil) rode J Lazy S for 86.95 points to put the Ridge Riders up by a ride. Preparing for the final out of the game, Carolina’s Adriano Salgado (Naviraí, Brazil), competing for the first time as his team’s closer, needed 86.35 points for the win. He rode MF Cupcake for 88.4 points to secure the walk off victory for the Cowboys.

The winning score was red-hot Salgado’s sixth consecutive qualified ride.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters (6-9) bested the Kansas City Outlaws (6-9) 88.6-86.75, making the most of Kase Hitt’s (Dickson, Okla.) score on I’ll Make Ya Famous in the first out of the game, which was enough for the win. Kansas City’s Koltin Hevalow (McAlester, Okla.) responded with 86.75 points on Po Campo in the bottom of the first, but the Outlaws were then shut out and unable to catch the Wildcatters.

The Austin Gamblers (7-8) defeated the No. 1 Nashville Stampede (10-5) 261.9-173.6, snapping a two-game losing streak. Nashville took the lead in top of the first as Alan de Souza (Tremembé, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Dirty South for 87.45 points. In the bottom of the frame, three-time PBR World Champion and 2024 PBR Teams Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) gave Austin the lead with 89.4 points on Husky. Leme’s 10th straight ride tied the longest consecutive ride streak in PBR Teams history. Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, São Paulo, Brazil) scored 85 points on Damn It Darrel in the second to put Austin up by a bull before Nashville’s Rogério Venâncio (Paranaita, Brazil) rode Whiplash for 86.15 points in the next frame to nearly even the score. Austin pulled away when Vinicius Pinheiro Correa (Aimores, Brazil) scored 87.5 points on Tijuana Two-Step in the third, and Austin won three bulls to two.

Going 4-for-5, the Texas Rattlers (8-7) downed the New York Mavericks (3-12) 351.2-169.15. Texas’ Daniel Keeping’s (Montague, Texas) 89-point ride on Rock ‘n Roll in the second gave the Rattlers the lead for good, and Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil), who was traded from the Austin Gamblers earlier this week, scored 86.55 points on his first out with the Rattlers aboard Homewrecker to clinch the win. Texas also got qualified rides from Dawson Branton (Jefferson, Ore.), scoring 87.9 points on The Heat in the third, and João Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, São Paulo, Brazil) putting the finishing touches on the game with 87.75 points aboard El Dorado.

New York’s scores came from João Henrique Lucas (Bastos, São Paulo, Brazil) with 81.95 points on Show Me Dollars and 2026 PBR Rookie of the Year Marco Rizzo (Quitman, Ga.), recording 87.2 points on El Chapo in the final frame, improving his record against the bovine athlete to a perfect 4-for-4.
