Happy Mother’s Day from WSU Dining Services & Chartwells’ Catering!

This year we’d like to honor the mothers who lead our team at Wichita State. We asked; “What has being a mother taught you about leadership?”

Jamie Kraisinger, Senior Director said, “Being a mom taught me that I had to learn to adapt more than you expected to plans not always going as I have planned, have an extra level of patience I didn’t know I needed, but also that the love of your child is the best feeling ever! ”

Brandy Fulton, Residential Dining Director said “Being a mom has taught me to lead by example. I strive each day to be the best parent and leader I can be. I show patience, kindness, and the willingness to try and understand every situation. My hope is that my children and team will do the same.”

Dawn Lane, Retail Director said “My family taught me patience comes in many forms and at different times. Many times we learn more from those we lead, in different ways and at unexpected times.”

Natalie Doom, Catering Director said “Empathy. Recognizing that all our team members have different needs, concerns, and aspirations. Creating a nurturing environment where all our employees feel valued and understood.“
