-My name is Okuhle Blayi, and I’m an artist/musician from East London, currently based in Cape Town. I was introduced to Kowtinminion by Shang 7 years ago, with the vision of launching a clothing brand. Although circumstances delayed the project,

became a pivotal part of my life. During a challenging time, I found solace in the brand’s creative energy and used it as a catalyst for change. Music remained my driving force, and Kowtinminion fueled my artistic journey.

Although we initially faced challenges in bringing our vision to life, and are now propelling the KWTM movement forward.

We are a multifaceted creative collective. We excel in various fields, including clothing design, arts and culture documentation, music production, photography, video editing, logo design, and video and photo direction. With our versatility, we are capable of handling diverse creative projects. We are also passionate about collaboration and eager to learn and work with fellow creatives to push the boundaries of innovation and artistry.

-My name is Sivenathi Mona, from East London currently living in Cape Town. I work for .
I’m the creative director of , a movement we started as an idea of a clothing brand with my brother, , due to circumstances we were facing we couldn’t proceed with it & we had less information about how to start out a clothing brand.

-Kowtinminion was nickname I gave myself because of the love I had for clothes,
Synonymously ‘Kowtin’ stands for Cotton and ‘Minion’ stands for the younger me who just love clothes so much and that love of clothes doesn’t fade away, the word KWTM sounded so cool as well, eventually my brother , asked me why not a clothing brand, because I’ve always been that guy who create words from nothing, that comes with the influence as well from what I was watching, from everything that involved arts and culture, my blood brother and other people in my community.

-As of Today it’s been 7 years since the idea came to light and I thought this year is the year for me & to push the vision further, his story is coming as well.

-What we do in KWTM is creating our own clothes, documentation of arts and culture, music, photographing, video editing, logo designs, directing videos from any aspect—if given time to learn and create after, and so many other things, we are very versatile! We are keen to learn and work with other creatives.

-Kowtinminion is a lifestyle that we were not so exposed to fully, which is creative spaces for arts, culture, fashion, music and, so on... And we fall in love with all of those aspects I have stated earlier from Mdantsane, the second largest township in South Africa that is not really exposed to attention to sort of seek for the kids and creatives who are putting in the work in the creative space, now If you want do something in that space you need to go outside, but now that as members of KWTM have branched out to different aspects of life, we are still trying to come together and form our first streetwear fashion brand under Kowtinminion and we are very dedicated that it will come together very soon!!!

But in the mean time, Monä Sivenathï a founder & a co-founder is working on a Pod, KAAPcast Incorp, KREATIVES ARE ALL PUSHING, which aims to shine light on the creative realm from arts, culture, fashion, music, and so on... And so far he has managed to work with a crew that is dedicated to push the work further, we have a great portfolio so far, RELEASING every week, Wednesday and Friday, we have 4 episodes so far from YouTube channel which is KAAPcast Incorp, you can find the link, below 👇👇🏾
