The 2,111 sqm location offers over 21,000 products, 172 parking spaces, two EV charging stations, and an integrated café. Extended hours, 32 new local jobs, and Sunday openings planned from the start.

The launch came with genuine community investment: €10,000 donated locally, plus a weekly fresh produce program for students at Fran Krsto Frankopan Elementary School throughout the school year. The grand opening wrapped up with a free live concert on the Krk waterfront.

Carrefour Belgium has opened its largest buybye autonomous store yet — at Corda Campus in Hasselt, one of Europe's biggest innovation hubs, home to over 100 startups and thousands of daily visitors. Tobias Rönnberg Halvorsen, Head of Retail at Alecta Fastigheter, has been elected the new Chairman of NCSC (Nordic Commercial Spaces and Communities) at today's AGM — taking over from acting Chair Annika Schönefeld.

Two new board members were also elected: Maria Hellberg (Rituals, Head of Real Estate and Expansion Manager Nordic Region) and Pia Lynggaard (Commercial Director, Rødovre Centrum) — strengthening NCSC's ties to both retail expansion and shopping center management across the Nordics.

The vertically integrated real estate firm reported an adjusted net result of €109.8 million — up 12.9% year on year — with assets under management reaching €6.9 billion and occupancy across its European shopping center portfolio holding at 99%. Tenant sales grew 4.6%.

A defining move of 2025: the acquisition of URW's real estate management business in Germany, growing Sonae Sierra's German asset count from 6 to 18 in one transaction.

On the sustainability front, 67% of managed investment properties now carry solar installations, and Scope 1 & 2 emissions per sqm are down 49% versus 2019.
