The retail and property group has acquired two major destinations — York Designer Outlet and East Midlands Designer Outlet — bringing its total share to over one-fifth of the entire UK outlet market.

Nearly 7.8 million visitors annually across both sites, with York spanning 250,000 sq ft and home to 120 brands, and East Midlands covering 170,000 sq ft with over 65 designer labels.

Kaufbeuren to its Redevco European Retail Park (RERP) fund — its second German acquisition since the fund launched in 2025, following the Bahnhofsarkaden Leutkirch in January. The seller is Nuveen, a TIAA company.

Sustainability is already on the agenda, with Redevco planning to pursue a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating, including rooftop PV, LED conversion and a heat pump installation.

The private equity firm has acquired a majority stake in Designer Outlet Center Neumünster - northern Germany's largest designer outlet - in a deal valued at around €350 million.

TPG took over from a joint venture between Nuveen Real Estate and Simon Property Group, while McArthurGlen stays on as minority shareholder and continues managing the center.
