Botswana’s Kemorena Tisang 🇧🇼 powered to victory in the men’s 400m hurdles at the IFAM Oordegem, stopping the clock at 48.42s ,a new Botswana national record and a qualifying mark for the Tokyo World Championships.

Jake Minshull 🇬🇧 followed in 48.74s (PB), with Sabelo Dhlamini 🇿🇦 third in 48.88s

BREAKING NEWS: DIRANG THIPE ELECTED NEW BOBA PRESIDENT 🥊

Dirang Thipe is the new Botswana Boxing Association (BOBA) president after securing 8 votes from the 17 affiliates at today’s Elective AGM. Lechezani Luza followed with 4, Irene Ntelamo received 3, while outgoing president Gilbert Khunwane managed 2.

In the Vice Presidency race, Phetogo Tsheko edged Hlanganani Digwere 9–8. Tshiamo Moalosi claimed the Secretary General seat with a clean sweep of all 17 votes, leaving Taolo Tlouetsile and Lefiri Moremi without a vote. Kabelo Seleka secured the Publicity Secretary position with 15 votes against Gaone Motshwanaesi’s 2, while Dintwa Sloca took the Additional Member seat with 9 votes ahead of Mathata Thingwane (4) and Olebogeng Gaotlhobogwe (4).

Boitumelo Taolo (Competitions Coordinator) and Treasurer General Refilwe Letshwiti were elected unopposed.

All eyes are now on Thipe to steer the revival of Botswana boxing.
