Cat people, you may want to clear your calendar for this one. 🐈

The fifth annual Calgary Cat Festival & Market returns to Contemporary Calgary on September 12 and 13, bringing together local vendors, animal rescues and plenty of cat-themed activities.

Visitors can meet adoptable cats at Adoption Alley, browse products from independent businesses, attend talks and demonstrations, join a cat-themed painting workshop and compete in Ravensburger puzzle tournaments.

The festival also helps raise awareness and support for local animal rescues and the work they do across Calgary.

CALGARY’S BIGGEST FILIPINO CULTURAL CELEBRATION IS BACK THIS LONG WEEKEND 🇵🇭🎉

Jessica Sanchez, the reigning winner of America’s Got Talent, is joining the lineup at FIESTA FILIPINO OFFICIAL

The free four-day festival will bring more than 280 performers, 15+ food vendors, 25+ exhibitors, live music, dance and family-friendly activities to Eau Claire Plaza.

Hot air balloons are lighting up the night just outside Calgary this September. 🎈✨

Calgary Farmyard is hosting its first Harvest Lights & Hot Air Balloon Glow on September 18 and 19, with the farm staying open after dark from 5:30 to 9:30 PM.

The evening will feature glowing hot air balloons, balloon pilots and crews, burner demonstrations and thousands of lights throughout the farm.

More than 40 attractions will stay open after dark, including giant slides, mini golf, jumping pillows, the petting farm and a hot-air-balloon-themed corn maze that becomes a flashlight challenge at night.

There’ll also be pig races, live music, fall displays, pumpkins and country fair-style food and drinks.

Yellow Door Bistro yellowdooryyc has announced it is closing after years inside Hotel Arts in downtown Calgary.

The restaurant became especially well known for its weekend brunch, colourful interiors and contemporary bistro menu.

Hotel Arts also says it is working on an “exciting new project,” with more announcements still to come.

No final service date was included in the announcement.
