Every couple has one person who doesn’t stop talking and one person that needs silence to recharge… right? 😅

I’ve always been a chatter box and have a lot to say (always 😬).

You might not guess it, but at home Allie is the opposite 😅

I also have a bad habit of interrupting people, talking over them, and finishing their sentences. Which I thought were just huge personality flaws until I as diagnosed with ADHD. Then it all started to make more sense 🙈

My wife on the other hand doesn’t say too much and needs silence to recharge her battery 😳

Any other couples have this dynamic? 😅

Growing up, I thought marrying some gross, smelly old boy was the only option 😬 (sorry guys, just telling my truth 😘)

Imagine my joy when I realized I can marry a beautiful women that I want to spend every second with every day with instead 🥰🏳️‍🌈

🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Unboxing our Made with Pride mugs!!!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

These mugs have been sitting in my basement for longer than I want to admit 😬

These were made by my mom for our mother daughter pottery shop we had!! I loved designing pottery and my mom loved making it. My mom was a professional potter when I was growing up, but now she had a boring corporate job. So this was the perfect creative outlet for us both.

But life with newborn twins got hectic and I never got around to listing these designs… until now!!!! 😊

I couldn’t even remember what we had made until I unboxed these 🙈

But lowkey I’m guilty of this too 😬 when you claim you’re not mad at all but you’re secretly stewing inside. At least one benefit is that I’m a rage cleaner, so the house looks great after 🤷🏻‍♀️

There are things I worry about because we are a two mom family that most people never have to worry about 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a parent, I worry about all the normal things. Are they having too much screen time? Are they eating enough veggies? Are they being kind and using their manners when I’m not watching?

And then there’s all the other things…

Things about the donor, about having donor siblings, and the heteronormative society we live in as a whole.

Our family doesn’t look “normal” to a lot of people.

But when I look at our kids, I don’t see a complicated family story (I don’t even think our story is that complicated, society just sees it that way 😅). I see two children who were loved fiercely before they ever existed. Two children who were dreamed about, planned for, hoped for, and wanted more than I can put into words.

So sure there are things I worry about that other parents might never have to think about.

But there is also so much joy in the family we’ve built 🤍
