The importance of playing First Class Cricket:

Dan Lawrence made his England’s test debut in 2021 after showing promise in first class cricket.
He couldn’t get going in test cricket with big runs hence got dropped. He stopped playing first class cricket?
No. He grinded even harder in first class cricket scoring one century after another hence getting a call back to England’s test team.
Lawrence has scored 24 centuries and 40 half centuries scoring almost 9000 FC runs with average touching 40!
Add 64 FC wickets; 29 years old Dan Lawrence is ready to represent England test team for long.
If he would have been a Pakistani cricketer: he would have just been crying over not getting picked on TV shows and podcasts and trying to play every T20 franchise league be it in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Canada, US or UAE!
That’s the difference. Pakistan test cricket is dying for a reason.
