Wednesday’s rehearsal was all about creativity, character development and bringing ideas to life! 📺✨

As part of our practice round for our upcoming TV project, we created three brand-new characters: Frankenstein, Apricot and Funky Robot! 👻🍑🤖

Working in teams and using the fold-over paper method they developed their characters, creating their personalities, backstories and style along the way. We absolutely LOVE them! ❤️

Cal and Adam scored the characters on creativity, backstory and imagination… and the result was a TIE! 😱

So, how do you decide a winner? Our teams had to dance like they imagined their character would! 💃🕺🤖

They did a brilliant job!

All the tutors are so impressed by the hard work shown today by all students.

We want to give a huge shoutout to our wonderful student Jenna for capturing some great photos from today’s session at WorkLtd Studio!! 🎤🎧

They took part in an important voice over exercise, led by the students, using their skills and understanding to use the audio equipment and set up the sound system to record these voice overs. 🎛️🔊

Wednesday fun, as always! ✨

Today we trialled and rehearsed a brand-new concept for a video series we’re working on, and we had so much fun bringing the idea to life! 🎬

We can’t wait to film and share this one with you all. It’s going to be funny, light-hearted and a great opportunity for us all to get creative and have some fun!!✨

🎬 A productive day at Work Ltd Studio!💻

Today, our students have been working hard behind the scenes, learning the ins and outs of video editing🎥

Everyone had the opportunity to have a go at editing their own videos using the software on the laptops, each sharing input and feedback along the way. 🙌

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, supporting each other and developing their creativity and digital skills. 🌟

✨ Week commencing 24th August ✨

Here’s a little look at what we got up to this week! 👀🎥

We started the week off strong with Sports Day on Monday, before getting stuck into filming and planning on Tuesday. 🏃‍♀️🏆🎬

Wednesday saw the start of a brand-new top secret project… 🤫👀 Keep your eyes peeled (or your hair on!) for this one! 😂

Thursday was all about planning, pre-production and, of course, more filming as we continued bringing our ideas to life. 🎥📝

Then, on Friday, Jayne, Adam and some of our students helped conduct a very special interview with Liam’s mum, hearing about her experiences of having her child attend Work Ltd. 💙

It’s been a busy week full of creativity, teamwork, filming and plenty of fun, and we can’t wait to share more of what we’ve been up to!

This morning, some of our Media students came together to support one another and help conduct a very special interview with Liam E’s mum. 💙

It was lovely for everyone to be a part of, but especially for Liam, who got to hear his mum share her thoughts on everything he has achieved at Work Ltd over the years. 🥹👏

We then headed into the workshop for the rest of the morning, where Liam and Jenna took to the camera to get the perfect shots. 🎥

There was plenty of laughing, joking and very ‘serious’ acting along the way… although we’re not sure how much of it actually made it into the final video 😂

Another brilliant morning of teamwork, creativity and fun.🎬

We’ve been super busy recently, working on so many exciting projects for our studio, as well as for different organisations around Sheffield. It definitely keeps us on our toes and working extremely hard! 💪✨

An afternoon of giggles, good vibes & a little boogie!💃😂

At WorkLtd Studio, we believe feeling relaxed and comfortable before filming is just as important as getting the perfect take! So, there’s plenty of laughter, dancing, silliness and good energy along the way. 🕺🎥

Today was definitely one of those afternoons — lots of giggles, lots of fun and plenty of moments that reminded us not to take ourselves too seriously! ❤️

Because sometimes the best takes start with a little boogie. 😉🎬

Jayne and ALL the students at the studio want to say a HUGE thank you to Cal and Adam for all their hard work, dedication and effort in filming, editing and creating such an amazing film, as well as organising such an incredible event last Saturday!! 🎬✨

The premiere ran so “smooooth” and the film touched so many people! ❤️

Thank you to Sally and all the students at for creating this beautiful gift!!

When creating a documentary, you often film as much as you can and create the story during the edit, as it isn’t scripted or planned. You both did an outstanding job capturing all four of our students’ individual journeys and experiences in Japan, and how the trip impacted each of them as individuals.

Well done, lads! We are all so proud!! 👏🏼❤️

This is just the start of Work Ltd Studio, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds and the many exciting projects we look forward to creating together! 🎥✨
