Albert Ojwang died after allegedly being tortured into a coma new reports say. On the night of Saturday, June 7, between 9:35 PM and 1:39 AM, he was reportedly removed from his cell and taken to Karura Forest.

He was in good health when he left the cell, but was returned nearly lifeless and later died at Central Police Station. Sources indicate he was transported in a private vehicle rather than an official police car.

In the forest, he was beaten unconscious, kicked, punched, and assaulted while still handcuffed.

Some police officers reportedly objected to taking him into custody in that condition, but were overruled by an order said to have come “from above.”

Who is Fooling Who? : DCI Director Mohamed Amin has pointed fingers directly at Nairobi Central Police Station OCS, Talaam, in connection with the death of Albert Ojwang.

Amin clarified that Albert was driven straight from Homa Bay to Central Police Station and not taken to DCI headquarters as earlier suggested.

He emphasized that Albert was treated with "utmost humility" during the journey and was in normal condition upon arrival.

With these revelations, Mohamed Amin declared that OCS Talaam should be treated as a prime suspect in the matter, marking a significant turning point in the pursuit of justice for Albert Ojwang.
