Joint operatives discovered 109 additional packages of suspected “kush” worth an estimated P204.44 million during a re-inspection of a sailing yacht at the Subic Bay Yacht Club in Zambales on September 4.

The packages were found inside the yacht’s forward hatch and brought to the Bureau of Customs Port of Subic for inventory and proper disposition. The discovery follows the seizure of around 89 kilograms of suspected high-grade ma*****na worth P106.8 million from the same yacht on September 2.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued 18 people after motorbanca Geri Ann was found half-submerged about 4.60 nautical miles southeast of Barangay Magsidel, Calayan, Cagayan, on September 5.



The rescued group consisted of seven crew members and 11 passengers. All were brought to the Calayan Rural Health Unit for medical assessment and were found in good physical condition.
