DID YOU KNOW? Toy Edition:

Bertand "Fred" Francis invented the pullback technology used in toy cars.

Back then a winding mechanism or a clockwork key was used to make toy vehicles move, ruining the realistic look of the toy.

Francis released the Scalex 1:32 Jaguar XK120 under his toy company Minimodels Limited in 1952. Instead of being wound by a key, you just need to press down on the toy car, pull back and let go, and the car would go forward. It became very successful that he had to build a new factory in Havant, England to meet demands.

The technology was later adapted by Japanese toy company Takara on their "squeezed look" cars, the Choro-Q in 1978, which many considered to be one of the famous pullback cars.

They were later re-released in other countries as "Penny Racers" in 1981.

That's insensitive, Kong.
