A simple and cheap solution for temporary and reusable route marking! A pack of binder clips, some zip ties, and a roll of flagging tape - plus about an hour of work - is all it takes to make 60 temporary clip on markers. To make the bits of streamers I wrapped the roll of flagging tape around the legs of a barstool before making two snips. I didn’t care to count how many individual streamers were in the bundle, but it was more than enough. Grab them in bunches of five, pull them through the binder clip, then zip tie the bundle together.
As you make them, clip them to a rope with a knot on both ends to keep them from sliding off. This will become your marker sash! Peak fashion, this boa allows you to wear the markers around your neck for quick-fire route marking and easy peasy cleanup afterwards. No fussing with a backpack or baggie of tangled up markers!
Please note: these are not reflective, so only appropriate for daytime events. Also, for some reason deer love munching on flagging tape, so be sure to pull these down after the event. I mean, you should be doing that anyway, right?
